biological activity | Azure B is a cationic dye (cationic dye), the main metabolite of Methylene blue, used in Azure eosin stain for blood smear staining. Azure B is an efficient, selective and reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase (MAO)-A. Its IC50 for recombinant human MAO-A and MAO-B is 11 and 968 nM respectively. Azure B has a significant antidepressant effect. |
